Good questions.
Does Asset Grab upload my images?
Not for format conversion. That happens entirely inside your browser. Only when you use background removal is the image you chose sent to our server and our processing partner to be cut out. See the privacy policy for details.
Which formats can it open?
Anything Chrome can display, including WebP, AVIF, PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP and SVG. Animated images are saved as their first frame.
Why does background removal always save PNG?
JPEG can't store transparency, so a cut-out saved as JPEG would lose its transparent background. If you want a solid background instead, turn on Fill with color.
How do I upgrade or cancel?
Click Upgrade to Pro in the side panel. To cancel, click Manage subscription in the same place. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
Do unused removals roll over?
No. Pro includes 200 removals per calendar month, and the count resets on the 1st.
