Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 27, 2026

The short version
  • Converting images to PNG or JPEG happens entirely in your browser. Those images never leave your computer.
  • Only when you use background removal is the image you chose sent to our server and to Photoroom, which removes the background. We don't store your images.
  • We keep small usage counters to enforce free-try and monthly limits, and delete them automatically.
  • Payments are handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe. We never see your card details.
  • No ads, no tracking, no selling your data.

Who we are

This policy covers the Asset Grab Chrome extension and this website ("Asset Grab", "we", "us"). If you have any questions, email us at daxflare@gmail.com.

Format conversion stays on your device

When you save an image as PNG or JPEG, Asset Grab downloads that image and converts it inside your browser. The image and the converted file are not sent to us or anyone else. The extension only accesses images you drag into its side panel, paste, choose, or right-click; it does not read your browsing history or page content.

Asset Grab stores your settings (such as your chosen format and fill color), a randomly generated install ID and, if you subscribe, your ExtensionPay account key and subscription status in Chrome's extension storage. If Chrome sync is turned on, Google syncs this storage across your signed-in browsers.

Background removal

Background removal is an optional feature. When you use it, the extension sends the following to our server, which is hosted on Cloudflare:

Like any web request, this also reveals your IP address to our server.

Our server passes the image to Photoroom, which removes the background and returns the result. The result goes straight back to your browser. Our server does not save your images. Photoroom processes images under its own privacy policy.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are sold through ExtensionPay, with payments processed by Stripe. They collect the details needed to take payment, such as your email and card. We never see or store your card number. ExtensionPay tells us whether your subscription is active and, if you provided one, your email address.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers needed to run Asset Grab:

We don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, use it for ads, or use it to decide creditworthiness. We don't use analytics or tracking in the extension.

Chrome Web Store user data policy

Asset Grab's use of information received through Chrome extension APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

Children

Asset Grab is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how your data is used, we'll say so in the extension's store listing before it takes effect.
